Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our assessment process.

Consider seeking an assessment if you notice persistent difficulties with attention, focus, social interaction, or sensory sensitivities that impact daily functioning at home, school, or work. Our initial consultation can help determine if a full assessment would be beneficial.

While there can be some overlap in symptoms, ADHD primarily affects attention, focus, and impulse control, while autism spectrum conditions typically involve differences in social communication, sensory processing, and patterns of interests or behaviors. Many individuals have both conditions, which is why comprehensive assessment is important.

The assessment itself typically requires 2-3 sessions of 1-2 hours each, depending on the complexity and type of assessment. From initial consultation to receiving your final report usually takes 4-6 weeks, with report delivery in 2-4 weeks after the final assessment session.

We offer hybrid assessment options that combine online questionnaires and interviews with in-person evaluation sessions. Some components can be conducted remotely, but for comprehensive assessment, at least one in-person session is typically recommended.

Your detailed report will include personalized recommendations for support, accommodations, and next steps. We offer a follow-up session to discuss these recommendations and can provide referrals to appropriate specialists, therapists, or support groups as needed.

We are out-of-network providers for most insurance plans. We provide detailed receipts and documentation that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. The amount covered varies by plan, so we recommend checking with your insurance provider about coverage for psychological assessments.
